Our Journey

2021

Founding of Ambrosia Sciences

Our founder Rodger had a vision for a more sustainable and ethical food system. Rodger and the team had experience with traditional food distribution previously, but encountered difficulties sourcing healthy food products for its customers. That's when we decided to formulate our own alternative proteins and Ambrosia Sciences was born.

YEAR

2022

Discovering our Key Technology

For most of 2022, we evaluated plant-based meat analogues after speaking with many inventors in Europe and the US. We eventually decided that plant-based meat analogues are still not much healthier than the meat they're trying to copy. We turned our focus to cultured meat which was the healthiest food product one could create. This led us to Prof Tan Lay Poh from Nanyang technological University that had developed a unique scaffold and cell-seeding process to make muscle tissue. from animal stem cells
